Pistil is a doctor appointment system dashboard design that helps patients manage appointments, medical details, payments and support requests in one simple place. The dashboard has a clean user flow and an organised interface to make healthcare interactions easier and more comfortable.

Problem

Clinics handle a constant flow of bookings, cancellations, and patient records, but many still rely on phone calls, paper diaries, or outdated software to manage it all. This leads to double bookings, missed appointments, long wait times, and staff spending more time on admin than on patient care. Existing systems often make things harder, with cluttered screens, confusing calendars, and patient information spread across different sections. Doctors struggle to see their day at a glance, and front-desk staff waste time switching between tools to confirm or reschedule a single appointment. The challenge was to design a dashboard that makes appointment management fast, organized, and easy for everyone in the clinic.

Solution

I designed Pistil around a clean, calendar-first dashboard that puts the day's schedule at the center. The overview shows today's appointments, patient check-ins, doctor availability, and key stats like total bookings and cancellations at a glance. A clear calendar view with day, week, and month modes lets staff book, reschedule, or cancel appointments in just a few clicks, with color-coded statuses for confirmed, pending, and completed visits. Patient profiles bring together contact details, visit history, and notes in one place, while doctor profiles show schedules and availability. Smart search and filters help staff find any patient or appointment instantly. The interface uses a calm, healthcare-friendly color palette and clear hierarchy, so it stays easy to use even on busy days.
